Between 1921 and 1999, the resale right was collected by the public authorities, which published lists of the sales in this period. The resale rights which had not been claimed by the artists concerned remained all this time on an account.
Recently, the public authorities decided to entrust the collective management societies Sabam and Sofam with the distribution of that money.
